There is very good interior information on this map of the continent, particularly on the systems of the La Plata and Amazon Rivers. The rain forest in Brazil is noted by many tiny engraved trees. A remnant of the Lac de Parime with its mythical Manoa o el Dorado is still shown straddling the equator. The map is adorned with a charming cartouche and a simple compass rose.
