A beautifully etched title page that includes two women drawing maps with a lion representing Belgium curled at their feet, Neptune astride a large globe (showing the Atlantic Ocean), a trumpeting angel representing Fame, and the Titan Atlas bearing a celestial globe on his shoulders. Drawn and etched by Gerard de Lairesse.

A lovely example with original color. A couple faint stains in the map and margins, still quite good.
