This delightful miniature chart depicts five constellations in which nova had appeared; Cassiopee (with the nova of 1572), Cygne (with the novas of 1600 and 1670-71), Andromeda (with a new star in her belt, which is actually the Andromeda galaxy), Baleine (with a variable star in its neck), and Fleuve Eridan and La Lievre (with several new stars observed by Cassini). At bottom is a night fishing scene. French text on verso.
