This attractive chart features tables for tracking the tides and the position of dual tides in the straits. There are some soundings near Gibraltar and anchorages noted. The map is oriented with a simple compass rose and it is criss-crossed with rhumb lines. A rather humorous Neptune holds his trident high over the cartouche. Engraved by Joel Gascoyne.

A little offsetting, and an uneven impression in cartouche, with some of the lines enhanced with later color.
