A striking map of the Persian Empire includes present-day Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Armenia, and Pakistan. Two large pictorial cartouches graphically depict the cultural attainments of the empire. The map is filled with detail of towns, mountains, forests, caravan routes, and a village scene is engraved in the Turkistan region.

Condition: A

An attractive, sound example with original color. There are a few faint spots in the map, still it is very good. Left margin with a small stain, away from the map.
