Nice lot of three 19th century maps detailing China and Asia.

1) J. H. Colton published this attractive map of China in around 1855. It is inset with two small maps of Canton and the island of Amoy (Xiamen). It is surrounded by Colton's trademark strapwork border, and is blank on the verso (15.5 x 12.2").
2) This map of China was issued by Thomas, Cowperthwaite & Co and included in Mitchell's New Universal Atlas of about 1850. It includes Korea and notes the Gobi Desert or Great Sandy Desert called by the Chinese Shamo. The map is surrounded by a picture-frame style border (14 x 11").
3) Map of Asia showing its Gt. Political Divisions, and, also, the various routes of travel between London & India, China, Japan &c published by Samuel Augustus Mitchell circa 1860. This is an attractive map of the continent, and it includes the Russian Empire, south to India and east to the Philippine and Japanese Islands. It is surrounded by a delicate floral border.
