An attractive and very detailed map of the West Indies with insets of the Virgin Islands, Martinique and Guadeloupe. Beautifully engraved on fine heavy paper, an embossed atlas seal lies below the fancy script title. A touch of outline color along the shorelines of the individual islands provides a delicate accent and reflects colonial claims, including those of France, England, Spain, Denmark, Holland, and Sweden. Bold keyboard style border and very wide margins.
