A striking map of the island with detail of roads, towns, forts, churches, cattle mills and sugar plantations. The importance of each place is designated by the number of windmills, with six windmills indicating a "Plantation of Great Note or Sugar work", as noted by the key at right. A boldly engraved compass rose orients the map.
