A large chart of the island engraved to show mountains, rivers, settlements, churches, roads and forts. Vibrant outline color is used to delineate the three divisions of the island designated for the Jesuits, Cappuchins and the Dominicans. The chart includes a key, three distance scales, rhumb lines and three compass roses. Engraved by Delahaye with Buache's imprint below neatline at lower right.

Bold impression on thick, hand laid paper with wide margins. A little surface soiling, light spot. A very nice example.
