This is a handsome, scarce Dutch edition of Bonne's map of the Russian Empire. It covers the region from the Baltic Sea to the Bering Sea in the north and from the Black Sea to the Sea of Okhotsk (Zee van Kamschatka). The map includes the island of Alaschka (ALASKA) in the upper left corner. It is embellished with a title cartouche held in the beak of the Russian eagle.
