The four maps in this lot were engraved by Young & Delleker and hand colored in vivid pastel shades. According to Ristow, Finley published his atlases between 1824 to 1834, with separate issues published in the years 1824, 26, 29, 30, 31, 33 and 1834. Each of these maps is beautifully colored and strongly engraved, and each is approximately the size given. The maps inlcude: 1) Asia; 2) Hindoostan; 3) China; and 4) Russia in Asia. The map of Asia inlcudes Papua New Guinea and Australia with Van Diemans Land. Set of four.
