Attractive set of finely engraved plates depicting several famous naval battles between France and Britain in the years 1759-60. They were engraved by Goldar from paintings by Francis Swaine for Harrison's Edition of Rapin. They are subtitled with the name of the engagement as well as the ships involved, and in some cases the armament and man-power of the ship. Each print portrays multiple ships and is a classic 18th century naval battle print.
