This tinted lithograph is a very early view in the area of today's Phoenix. It depicts a busy encampment of the survey team with many figures, including a Native American with a large pot in the foreground. The view also shows a saguaro cactus, a prickly pear, agaves and mesquite trees. Drawn by A.H. Campbell.
