Lot of three copper engraved charts detail the Antilles. Lot includes:
1) Partie des Isles Antilles I Partie (6.3 x 8.6"). This chart illustrates the coastlines of Saint Lucia, St. Vincent and Grenada in nice detail. It also shows the location of smaller islands. Rococo-style title cartouche, rhumb lines and fleur-de-lys decorate the map. Ref: Sellers & Van Ee #1963. One spot in blank ocean at right.
2) Suite des Isles Antilles 2 Partie (6.8 x 8.8"). This chart depicts the islands of Guadeloupe, Marie Galante, Dominique and Martinique with good coastal detail. Decorative rococo-style title cartouche with distance scale, rhumb lines and fleur-de-lys enhance the map. Ref: Sellers & Van Ee #1965.
3) Les Petites Antilles ou les Isles du Vent (6.4 x 8.8"). This nicely engraved chart depicts the islands of the West Indies from the Virgin Islands to Grenada. The sheet has a decorative title cartouche, rhumb lines and fleur-de-lys. Engraved for Bellin by Croisey. Ref: Sellers & Van Ee #1964.
