A boldly engraved chart of the northern regions from the Faeroe Islands north of Scotland to Baffin Island where a legend states [Here is fresh fish, dead whales, white foxes and fresh salmon] in Dutch. The map includes portions of Labrador, Newfoundland, and Anticosti Island. A decorative cartouche is surrounded by native hunters and a whaling scene.

A good impression printed on heavy paper. The left and right margins are trimmed to the neatline with paper added to facilitate framing. There is a permanent penciled plot-line near Iceland.
