This graphic twin hemisphere chart of the heavens follows the Hevelius style with the design taken from Eimmart and Schenk. Six circular diagrams surround the planispheres: Tychonic model of the planetary system, Ptolemaic solar system, relationship of the moon and the tides, annual illumination of the earth by the sun, Copernican theory of the planetary system, and monthly illumination of the moon. Armillary spheres and globes decorate the map as well, and a key to the symbols used for the brightness of the stars is nestled in the cusp between the planispheres.

Fine original color and a sturdy example with upper and lower margins slightly trimmed, but still ample. There is a minute repaired worm track in the lower margin, just touching the neatline.
