This group of maps illustrates the movement of the planets, earth and stars, with text panels pasted at sides for an overall sheet size of (18.8 x 11").
1) Sphere Droite / Sphere Parallele depicts a pair of armillary spheres on ornate bases showing the movement of the stars, with the Earth at center.
2) Le Systeme de Ptolemee / Le Systeme de Ticho-Brahe / Le Systeme de Copernic / Le Systeme de Descartes explains the four prevailing theories of the solar system in large spheres. Smaller spheres are views of the planets, the sun, and the moon along with their symbols, all suspended in billowy clouds.
3) Demonstrations Geometriques, des Spheres Droite, Paralelle, et Oblique is an interesting, decorative chart centered on a wind rose surrounded by astronomical diagrams.
4) Suite de la Planche Precedente shows five spheres representing latitude, longitude, zones and climates, with an interesting sphere representing peoples of the world and their antipodean opposites.
5) Position Respective des Peuples de la Terre displays the positions of the peoples of the world.
