A striking map of France surrounded with a decorative border incorporating city plans and fortifications of towns conquered by Louis XIV, including Strassbourg, Cadiz, Algiers, Barcelona, Hamburg and many others. The map was engraved by J. Christofle Steinberger.

References:

Condition: B

Original outline color and a dark impression. The margins have some worming and some tears, one entering the map at top about 1", most repaired on the verso with paper. The map has a few minor spots.

Estimate: $300 - $400

Sold for: $210
