This is a finely engraved map of the Exodus from Egypt and the wanderings of the Children of Israel. The entire lower part of the map elaborately depicts scenes from the wandering and Moses receiving the Ten Commandments at Mt. Sinai. Adam, Eve, Cane and Able flank the title cartouche, and the map is further decorated with a convoy of ships bringing cedar for the building of Solomon's Temple, and Jonah and the whale. This is the second state, with the addition of Daniel Stoopendaal's imprint, published in a Dutch Bible.

A nice example with attractive color. There is a repaired 2.5" tear in the bottom of the map and there is a faint damp stain and a couple of chips in the lower blank margin.
