Two maps of eastern Canada with nice detail.
1) Carte de l'Acadie et Pays Voisins (12.3 x 8.2"). This strongly engraved chart details Prince Edward Island, here called Isle Saint Jean, and covers all of Nova Scotia including Cape Breton. Numerous banks are located south of Nova Scotia. It is identical to the earlier Carte de l' Acadie, Isle Royale.
2) Plan du Port Royal dans l'Acadie, Appelle Aujour d'par les Anglois Annapolis Royal (13.3 x 7.8"). This detailed chart of the important colonial settlement in Nova Scotia clearly depicts the harbor entrance with soundings, anchorages and navigational hazards. A large compass rose orients the map.
