Attractive map of the region including the coastline and the cities of Nantes and Rochelle, with the Loire River prominently noted. The map is ornamented with strapwork title and scale cartouches. It was engraved by the brothers Ambrose and Ferdinand Arsenius who had been assistants to Frans Hogenburg and co-engravers of Ortelius' folio Theatrum. This series of maps was accompanied by text by Michel Coignet and was published in Antwerp by Plantin Press. Italian text on verso.
