First state of this richly decorative map of the eastern part of the Mediterranean. The map has vignettes at the top and bottom showing episodes from the book of Acts detailing the life of the Apostle Paul. Tiny ships in the Mediterranean trace his journey from Judea to Rome. Dutch text on verso.

Light surface soil on map with a professional repair along centerfold including some paper replaced in the cartouche with a couple of letters in facsimile.
