This elaborately decorated map focuses on the islands of Southeast Asia, from an enlarged (and slightly misplaced) Sri Lanka to the Marianna Islands and New Guinea. The northern coastline of Australia (Nova Hollandia) is depicted with an incredible array of wild animals and exotic plants. A huge compass rose fills the Indian Ocean, and the seas are filled with sea monsters and flying fish.
