Fine early nineteenth century map of the continent that features the old origin of the Nile River - emanating from two lakes in the Mountains of the Moon. The map is surrounded on three sides with English text describing the region and its history. Sheet size is approximately 22 x 17.5".

Short split at lower centerfold into text and well away from map. Small portion of upper corners of margin missing, well away from neatline.
