This map is from the French edition by Thomas Anburey of d'Anville's map. It covers the region from Maine to Virginia; Pennsylvania is shown west to the Allegheny, called "R. de l'Ohio." Vermont is simply called "Nouvelle Angleterre." The title is contained in a fine rococo-style cartouche. An uncommon issue.

The map has a nice impression on a thin sheet of hand laid paper. The long tear which travels through Massachusetts toward Lake Ontario is closed on verso with archival tissue with a light, old tape stain remaining.
