This finely engraved copper-plate map of the German Empire includes parts of present-day Belgium, Czech Republic, Austria and Poland. The map (10.2 x 9.2") is flanked by two columns of French text and surrounded by a wide rococo-style frame with students studying geography and cartographic instruments. The map and decorative border were printed from two separate plates and assembled with the text for this beautiful atlas. Map is fully colored, cartouche and decorative border uncolored.
