The uncommon and superb map provides a graphic description of the environs of Prague during the Austrian War of Succession. The map illustrates the battles for the great city in 1741 and 1742. In November, 1741 an army of Bavarians, French and Saxons overran the city in support of Charles, elector of Bavaria. The city was retaken by the armies of the Empress Maria Theresa in 1742. The map is incredibly detailed and includes three insets showing battle plans, troop movements, fortifications and many other details.
