This small map is trimmed from Ortelius' composite map of Mediterranean islands, Insularum Aliquot Maris Mediterranei Descriptio. The map is based on the cartography of Jacob Gastaldi. The sea is stipple engraved and decorated by a sail and oar-powered galley. German text on verso.
