This lot includes three finely rendered copper engravings from one of Calmet's important histories of the Bible.

1) De Arke van Noach (15.3 x 11") is a great view of the huge ark divided into compartments for the animals, two of which are shown in detail in an inset.
2) Uitwendige Vertoning des Torens van Babel (7.8 x 12") shows the fabulous Tower of Babel from the Book of Genesis.
3) Plechtigheden van het Feest Purim (16.5 x 11.5") presents a scene from the celebration of Purim, as described in the Book of Esther.
