Appealing double hemisphere map with the titles nestled between the hemispheres in strapwork cartouches. The map depicts the discoveries of Captain Cook's first voyage with the two islands of New Zealand and the western coast of Australia fairly accurate, except that Tasmania is still attached to the mainland. In North America, the west coast is still very misshapen with Alaska appearing as a small bulge at the Arctic Circle.
