There is good detail in this finely engraved map of the British colony on the northeast coast of South America. Four engraved vignettes include Georgetown with numerous sailing ships in the harbor, Christmas Cataract, River Berbice, Ataraipu or the Devil's Rock, and New Amsterdam. A nice example with uncolored vignettes and borders, as issued.

There is a faint spot in the map and some surface soil in the blank margins and a small yellow stain at left.
