This miniature map of northeastern Germany places Berlin at the center. The tiny map is filled with towns each symbolized by a tiny castle and colored in red. It is embellished with a strapwork title cartouche. The map was engraved by the brothers Ambrose and Ferdinand Arsenius who had been assistants to Frans Hogenburg and co-engravers of Ortelius' folio Theatrum. This series of maps was accompanied by text by Michel Coignet and was published in Antwerp by Plantin Press. Italian text on verso.
