Beautifully engraved, double hemisphere celestial chart of the northern and southern sky describing 1022 stars, 48 constellations and the signs of the Zodiac, but not the Milky Way. A banner-style cartouche, together with the hemispheres, floats on a dark, fully engraved background. Most likely engraved after Sanson for this publication. At upper right above neatline "Tom. I. Pag. 1."

Beautiful, dark impression. Near fine example less a flaw in lower left corner tip, well away from map image.
