This very boldly engraved map shows limited detail. It is presented in the style of Mallet, but produced about a century later. The map extends to name the Cape Verde and Salomon Islands. California is oddly attached to the mainland, Baja is labeled Califournie, and the entire Northwest is blank with no shoreline. The United States is identified as Etats-unis. Mexico is Nouvelle Espagne, northern South America is Terre Firme. Title is in a simple architectural-style cartouche. Page 285 at upper right above neatline.
