These beautifully rendered architectural designs are from Peter Frederick Robinson's important work "Village Architecture, being a Series of Picturesque Designs for the Inn, the Schoolhouse, Almshouses, Markethouse, Shambles, Workhouse, Parsonage, Townhall and Church." Each design includes various elevations, interior drawings and plans. This book is a classic and is reproduced today for students of the art. The lot includes: The Village Church - five engravings (front & side elevations, View from the Chancel, The Pulpit, and the Ground Plan); an alternative view for the Village Church (front elevation); The Butchers Shop (actually a beautifully rendered country building); The Alms and Market House - three engravings (front elevation and the two ground plan). Early lithography by Charles Hullmandel.
