This is a spectacular pocket map by the Colton brothers. The large map is filled with an incredible amount of information: towns, villages, watershed, lakes, swamps, forts, railroads, coastal details, and detailed surveying information. The map is copyright 1880, but at lower left is the suggestion that this version is updated to 1890. Folds into brown cloth embossed and gilt covers. Original Colton label on inside cover describes "Maps and Atlases" for sale by the firm.

This large map is in such exceptional condition we can't find enough adjectives to describe it: clean, bright, crisp, perfect original hand coloring, flawless. Covers have some paper remnants over inside label.
