Nice plan of the walled city with the Fort of San Juan de Ulua and its ramparts shown offshore. Embellished with compass rose and fleur-de-lis. The insets of "A View of the Town & Port of La Verra Cruz from the Sea." and "A View of the Castle of la Verra Cruz from the Town." have minute detail. List of important buildings keyed to plan. Vera Cruz suffered from numerous pirate sieges and raids over its history. This copper engraved plan is from the July 1762 issue.
