This great set of maps covers most of South America in good detail on four sheets plus the classic view of the continent. Each has fine original hand coloring and is surrounded by Desilver's classic scroll-style border. The map of Venezuela has the inset "Map of the communication by Railroad across the Isthmus of Darien from Aspinwall to Panama." Brazil has two insets: Environs of Rio Janeiro and Paraguay. An inset, "South Part of Patagonia" continues to Cape Horn on the map of the southern portion of the continent. Set of five matching maps.

All are near fine examples with good impression and very nice original hand coloring and original margins. A tiny spot in the South America map in the blank ocean.
