This interesting copper engraved map illustrates the dangerous channel discovered by Magellan in 1520. The map features renderings of the native giants described by Sebald de Weert and an interesting depiction of a penguin and a giant snail. The map is further adorned with a compass rose, strapwork title cartouche at top and a map key at bottom.
