Very fine copper engraved chart in the Italian style with fully stippled sea depicts the islands of Zeeland and the coast of the mainland. Red city illustrations locate Rotterdam, Breda, Polder, etc. Part of Flanders is seen to the south. Strapwork title cartouche "Isole Selandie" and a compass rose rest in the sea. On a full sheet (5.6 x 9.5") of Italian text with a large historated capital below and attractive graphic design above the map. Italian text continues on verso with a large wood-block graphic element with figure.
