Informative pocket map that folds into original blue boards (4.3 x 6.3") with additional outline map on front pastedown. The highly detailed folding map shows via colors the position of French, Prussian and Allied troops divided into infantry and cavalry with details of their movements. A table gives the number of men and guns available to each side. Extensive information at sides keys to the exact location for each brigade and military group, including Napoleon's positions. A narrative also recreates the final hours of the battle. Direction arrow aligns north to the bottom. This uncommon pocket map is from the map issued in Cotton's Voices from Waterloo, 1854. On inside paste-down is a smaller map "Outline Map of the Waterloo Campaign."
