Charming miniature map covering the Piedmont region of northern Italy. For such a small map, it provides excellent information on the rivers and locates scores of villages. The maps of this rival to Ortelius' pocket atlas were engraved by two of the finest Flemish engravers: brothers-in-law Jodocus Hondius and Pieter van den Keere. This map doesn't have an engraver's signature. Dutch text on verso.
