1) Natolia, quae olim Asia Minor, by Blaeu, circa 1641 (19.8 x 15"). Handsome map of Asia Minor including Cyprus and the Aegean Islands. A fierce sea battle and a curious looking sea monster are depicted in the Mediterranean. The map is embellished with a banner style title cartouche supported by curious winged creatures and a surveyor holding the distance scale. German text on verso. Faintly toned and creased on centerfold with some light damp stains. There is some color bleed through on verso and tape adhesive residue on the top paper edge. Remnants of hinge tape on verso with a couple small holes in the top margin that resulted from someone trying to remove the hinges, and a thin spot in right blank margin. (B)
