On a full sheet with a large map "Japan, Mandshuria…" which extends to include Corea, much of China, and the Kurile Islands. The Amur River flows into Russia, and a portion of the Great Wall is shown. Inset map details the "Port of Nagasaki, in the Island of Kiou-siou." Above the map are three lovely vignettes: Japanese Nobleman & Fishermen; Port of Simoneseke, Japan; and Japanese Women of Higher & Lower Class. Engraved by J. Bartholomew.
