English edition of d'Annville's "Egypte nommee dans le pays Missir," a finely engraved chart of the Nile River valley and the Red Sea, covering from Aswan to the delta. Incredible detail includes the location of emerald mines, ancient ruins, and caravan routes. Locates the vast desert, Mt. Ramlie or Sandy Mount, the plains of Bacara and Sannur, and much more. An amazing nine distance scales are at lower left.
