A fine title page in the classic architectural style of the Renaissance. Two pillars capped by pediments supporting the multiple-quartered coat of arms of Spain flank the title. At sides are the allegorical female representations of the four continents. The French title and imprint are pasted onto the engraved architectural framework, as was customary with title pages.

Superb original color highlighted in burnished gold leaf. Pleasantly toned, overall fine condition.
