1) by Robert Putman, New York: Abbeville Press, 1983. Reproductions of charts from the 14th to 18th centuries, with a good commentary on each. Includes 76 plates, full-page and double-page reproductions of sea charts in full color and black-and-white text illustrations. Hardbound in blue cloth with blind-stamped title on front cover and gilt-stamped spine title, illustrated dust jacket. 143 pages. (12 x 15.3") The book is fine, dust jacket has light sunning to spine (A).

2) Compiled from Notes collected from various sources by Elena Wilson; Imray, Laurie, Norie & Wilson, Ltd., London; 1937. 40 pages. (7.5 x 10") This fascinating book provides information on these charts not available elsewhere. The uncommon book details the roles played by cartographers beginning with John Seller and including Senex, Laurie & Whittle, Mount & Page, the various Imray publishers, Norie, and more. With numerous b&w illustrations. Spine a little sunned or soiled, otherwise fine (A).
