This is a very uncommon German map of the Bay of Gibraltar. It illustrates both the British and Spanish fortifications on this strategic bay at the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea. Inset at lower right is a fine rendering of the famous Rock of Gibraltar with its fortifications and several large sailing ships in the foreground.
