This is an uncommon German edition of Bellin's fine chart of Sumatra and the southern part of the Malaysian peninsula. The map is filled with detail, particularly along the coastlines. Of particular interest is the depiction of a mass of islands in the Strasse Sincapur (Singapore). The map is decorated with two cartouches in the French rococo style.
