This matching pair of large and colorful maps show the San Francisco Bay and Oakland area in fine detail at a scale of one nautical mile per 1.75". The maps are identical with only slight differences in the proposed naval yards, given as Development A and Development B. The proposed areas are Alameda, Hunters Point, Yerba Buena, and Richmond-Albany, each highlighted with color. The map extends in the south from Spring Valley and Coloma north to above San Rafael. The bay is densely filled with soundings and numerous areas marked "Forbidden Anchorage."
